The Foundation of HEANÂ
The Health Equity Advocates Network (HEAN) began as a student-led initiative at El Camino College. Our founders recognized a critical gap: while many students were passionate about addressing health disparities, there were few structured pathways to translate that energy into sustained community action.
We built HEAN to empower you to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world health advocacy. By creating your own chapter, you join a movement of future leaders dedicated to eliminating structural barriers to healthcare access.
